There are two stories woven throughout the book -- one of a young man named Quinn who has grown bitter from his accident and paralysis and the death of his father . . . and one of an old man named Zephi (Tsef-eye) who lived in Bible times, an old cripple waiting at the Pool of Bethesda for a chance to be healed in the waters. They're both longing for the same thing, but in the end they both receive a wonderful gift that demonstrates itself in very different ways for the two of them, ways they couldn't have imagined. Along the way you'll meet interesting and lovable characters, who we can't really tell you about without giving away too much of the story. ☺
